Tyria Skill Quests?

I'm sure this has been answered but can I take a Cantha character to Tyria and do the skill quests there to get skills?

Can someone confirm this? Because I could have sworn I couldn't get any skill quests while in Tyria.

You can do the quests from lions arch and beyond, anything before lions arch you can't do, except take the letter from Aidan to the NPC in scoundrels, and then get 500xp in Gates of Kryta for that quest. You can't do the Gates of Kryta mission though.

If you are playing a new class like an assassin or a rit.. you cannot get skills on the Tytian side. just wanted to point that out.. nor can you get armor either....

Just to clarify .. if you're 2ndary prof. is a Core class... like an A/Monk you wouldn't get the Assassin skills but you'd get the Monk skills.

Are you saying that a Canthan character can't even do the SKILL quests earlier in Tyria?

Hoxman is incorrect, my assassin just got the skill quest for defending the guy in the swamp from the shadows. you just don't get any of the quests that occur BEFORE Lion's Arch.
