runes

wats going on with the prices of runes??? i bought 6 unidentified sup absorbtion runes nd thought i was rich but then as i went 2 check the prices they were only worth 7k..is this coz of factions??? does anyone rekon they will go back up??

Dude, where have you been? Anet increased the drop rates for the sup absorption and vigor runes in an update not too long ago. Prices have dropped since they drop like candy now.


Are you saying that you bought these runes from someone and thought:

"Haha, what an idiot for selling it to me for 5-6k, I can be rich and sell it for 60k now!" :P

Moral of the story: Check the vendors prior to purchase.

its not only the drop rate but there isnt many warriors being created and requiring sup absorbs therefore for that matter. good luck hoping the prices will sky rocket. the only rune that has been stable throughout is the sup vigor. every single class needs one except for the 55hp characters. everything else will be fluctuating

Or the sad option, he bought them for 60-70K before the update and hasn't logged into Guild Wars until today only to find out that he lost 300-450K

I bought 2 sets of sup vigor and absorption when they were "cheap" at 60K and 30K respectively. At least I bought them to use them and not for resale profit.

Yep join the crowd man. I purchased 4 super absorptions before factions for 60k each hoping to sell them for 100k each when people neeeded them for their new armor. Now the are...yes .....about 53k cheaper. 200k mistake for me.

If you travel around Cantha you'll find there are a few spots where sup vigor/abosorption runes tend to drop like ripe fruit from a tree. I stumbled upon one of these spots and thought I was about to make a killing with my 55hp. I happily farmed until I had quite a few superiors. Then went off to the rune trader only to have my dreams of being a weathly rune baron dashed.

I have 6-8 major absorbtions sitting in inventory. All but one dropped after the changes, so I have no great grounds for complaint. But their value has continued to drop, so I guess I might as well keep a couple in reserve (my warrior is low level and I only have one sup) and sell the rest to the trader for inventory space while I can even get 60 gold each.

But I've never, ever gotten a sup vigor, nor have I gotten as many major vigors total as I got major absorbtions. I hope that changes for me ... Not that the 9 HP matter much, but it's the principle of the thing ...
