I just got on guild wars and was algging and i noticed other people complaining about lag so i asked if other were getting it and many others said yes. There was like 15 second delay in putting the chat out and you could walk really much at all. Everyone else getting this?

It really depends on where you are
Maatu Keep, House zu Heltzer, Kaineng Center, and Brauer Academy have horrible lag in district 1, due to people congregating there for various reasons

I NEVER get lag, but lately (especially in the turtle mission...erm...Gaila Hatchery i think) i've been freezing. I'm on one spot and can move 360degrees and skills just 'swirl' then i suddenly 'wake up' and leap somewhere else. I'm getting my ranger through Factions and its impossible to interrupt with the laggyness.
Also, I got an err=40 and code=58 earlier today.

Quite often I lag out when I'm spotted by aggros. My computer freezes for a few seconds, and finally continues when I'm at the resurrection shrine.
It became worst after Factions. This is the programmer's way to force you to buy a better computer

About 3-4 weeks a go I was getting really bad lag on a weekend. Since then its been pretty good. One thing I did get this past weekend was when I was in droks and I had my inventory window, merchant window and armorer window open (I was upgrading my armor) then the game just kept stopping and it took for ever to start moving again. When I closed the merchant window out it got a little better. Once I closed out all the windows I was able to move alright again aside from intermittent jerkiness. I think heavy traffic areas like droks,ascalon city and lions arch really kill my video. I hate people who can afford kick ass computers that run games smoothly.

About half of the Factions Outpost American District1's you cannot survive in the lag is so bad. (House, Braur, Maatu Keep, Breaker Hollow, etc).
These are farming hubs yes (Out of my examples - Kurzich supply,Kurzich duel quest, Xuelao farming, luxon supply, etc) but the game has NEVER responded like this to farming hubs...

There's plenty of the aforementioned Holy Lag© in House zu Heltzer - you walk three steps, stop, walk three steps, stop - it's pretty much impossible to get anywhere unless you use mouse travel. The chat is pretty bad there too, whatever you type shows up ten seconds after you hit enter. Something has to be done!

Guys all this lag stems from ALTER.NET seriously ppl go complain to them or we won't get anywhere with GW or Lineage2 or WOW, all stems from routing failure. Read that post GW tech e-mail on server malfunction, explains it all

I was trying to find out why Maatu and House Zu Helter were so ridiculously laggy. It was making me so frickin angry I was ready to punch a baby in the face. (Just joking guys, I wuoldn't do something as wack as that =D)

In Cavalon dist 3 through 5 is not full they are CLOSED, has this ever happend to anyone before?

What I'm wondering is:
If it's really a poor connection between the server and client due to apparently alter.net, how is that when I move to the international districts or even American districts other than 1, the lag disappears.
Maybe all those ppl who're using alter.net are lagging all the others who have no connection problems?

I've had bad bad lag also I would get Err=7 alot and I would freeze also alot to I knew it's not only me I have a good computer and barely ever lag.I would rubberband to spots that im like woah and when i infuse my skill swirls and i cathc myslef missing a infuse! o.O This lag is bad and i hope Anet fixes it immediately or else the flaming is going to start.
