I think a lot of people going on about how assassins shouldnt tank has caused a lot of this. I know assassins shouldnt tank but that doesnt mean unload your chain then get out. In a lot of situatations however this will be the case. For example against a warrior you dont want to hang around to long. If your hunting a caster however and your chain doesnt kill them stick around. Unless your in imidate danger or you see a warrior running towards you its ok to stay around and finish him off or at least add the extra pressure on a monk!
Ive seen so many people take a monk to within an inch of their life then run away when no one was close allowing the monk to be at full health in seconds!
The fact is people seem to think assassins only dmg is from skills. Yes they are powerful and will do the main load of damage but your normal attacks can deal a lot of dmg as well. Especially if they double and crit! Just because a warrior may do something better doesnt mean no one else can do it.

Please dont flame this with posts about how sins shouldnt tank. Its pretty obvious they shouldnt but going 1v1 with a monk isnt really tanking

Oh boy, now you have gone and confused everyone!
To tank or not to tank, that is the question!

Seriously though, I am glad to see everyone hasn't fallen into the mindset that you HAVE to run away as soon as your skills are used up. The assassin is really all common sense. Too bad that most players have no common sense and give the rest of us a bad image.

yeah, it was kinda weird seeing a sin when i was on my rit. Had 3 skills for a chain, and two diff shadow steps, kept going in and out without really killing anything

i mean if your warriors are going head to head and what not, why not take advantage of 60 al? espcially monks, because for every heal they heal themsleves with is a heal taken away from their team.

i think mesmers will get really popular to get rid of Aura of displacement though

i think mesmers will get really popular to get rid of Aura of displacement though I never find it such a big deal, AoD has a great recycle time - and next time I use it on the mesmer

It's also pretty easy to cover with another enchant - plenty to choose from.

And here I was thinking you only get out when you are in danger

Are people really jumping around like teleporting bunnies even when they aren't taking any damage?

I saw a sin before, i thought he was joking, but he wasn't. He was useing a build where it had

recall
death charge
viper defense
heart of the shadow
shadow refuge
rez
and like 2 deadly arts skills...

i saw him making a lot of smoke, but yet he did almost nothing...
