Faction Points

My alliance has trouble gaining faction points. We do the quests over and over but it just doesn't seem to add up. I wanted to know how some alliances can have around 10 million points?!?!

And is there a place to flat out buy them? Like the NPC says? "Some people sell faction points."?

Well, there could be a couple reasons for this.

1) Is everyone in your aliance giving their faction to the scribe? Just having the faction does nothing if you don't turn it in.

2) Are you taking into account the 10% decline every day that passes? You need to farm a lot of faction to hold that ammount.

3) How many Guilds are in you Alliance? The groups with 10 mil have 10 Guilds, each with a mill, give or take.

4) Are you certain that all of the Guilds in your Aliance are on the same side? If there's even one going the wrong way, it will wreck everything.

5) Are you Luxon? Kurzik faction is a lot harder to come by.

I was in a high ranked Aliance for a short time, and they wanted each member of the Aliance (every member of every Guild) to donate 5k Faction AT LEAST every day of the week. With making the Supply Run at 2 minutes a run, you'd have to do that run about 15 times every day to make 6k Luxon Faction, so it'd take half an hour or more every day to maintain that level of Faction. And, don't forget that TC (the 10 mil guys) were taking Faction donations for a time (person would join one of their guilds, donate 5k faction, then leave).

Also, there is no one in the game that will sell Faction of any kind for Gold. That message in the book was probably aluding to a Player selling their faction to an Alliance, and not an NPC.

Actually the priests of rez shrines will sell you 10 faction and the use oif the rez shrine (thats what he said) for a hundred gold, but only if your on the opposing Faction.

So people just sit infront of their computers doing the runs everyday? How borring!
