FC Orders?

Can you be more specific please? As a Mesmer primary, you won't have Soul Reaping feeding your energy bar. This means you'll have to use some energy management skills to keep up the Orders. The main ones I've mentioned: Inspired Hex, Revealed Hex and Drain Enchantment. Others include Power Drain, Energy Tap, or Energy Drain/Mantra of Recall if you're just using Order of Pain.

Some people are putting more effort into not answering than they would to answer.

Blood Renewal (selfheal)
Order of Pain (order)
Cry of Frustration (antispike)
Energy Drain (energy management)
Drain Enchantment (remove ench on target, more energy)
Power Drain (an interrupt. It gives energy)
Consume Corpse (corpse control, so long as you're /n)
Res Signet (to.. umm.. res)

Never played fc order, so theres a theoretical build. Modify as you would prefer. I would replace E-drain with Mantra of Recall as you usually don't want to be running around zapping energy while ordering. Though this limits the use of 20% enchant mods, so you lose 1 second on orders, though that doesn't really matter. Otherwise its nice

Otherwise its nice I chose eDrain for that reason, that the ench mod is a pain to use with MoR. Also because if you're playing corpse control as well, you'll generally be in range for drain. Fc orders is/was only really used for spikes, so you've got time to drain

Agreed CC can get you killed... but with some stats into death it can help replace some of what SR would have, it can also get you out of a tight spot in some occasions. Plus without CC, your team would probably be lacking in any corpse control (assuming for HA), and putrid/wells aren't as energy effective for you.

Fast Cast Orders absolutely suck, nothing can compare to the power of Soul Reaping for Energy Management in that sorta situation where spamming is the key. Honestly the only reason for a FC Orders is to "prep" a spike target with the quick enchantment removal and to deny corpses, especially for going against your cookie-cutter IWAY group.

Although I believe that Vampiric Gaze and Drain Enchantment are a bit worthless in that build...you might as well put in a bit of defense (i.e. Hex Breaker, Distortion, etal) since you're likely to be targeted pretty quickly, especially if you are warping around the battlefield using CC. Having three enchantment draining spells is a bit overkill if you are managing your spikes correctly.
