Both myself and my 12 year old son play Guildwars and Factions regularly *Both Guildwars and Factions are an age 12+ rating in the UK btw*. I mainly play PVE and he mainly plays PVP.

At the weekend he deleted one of his PVP characters (as he does on a daily basis) to create a new build, however on this build he managed to leave his Kuunavang mini-pet from the collectors edition and a Wing's Axe he found in PVE and some other good gear.

The Kuunavang is now gone for good and there is no way he can recover it.

Yes, it is easy to say he should have been more careful (as I did say to him), but when you are 12 years old being careful is not at the top of your list when you just want to get back in the game with a new build. Basically he was in tears and nothing I could say could bring back the items.

Anyway, surely it would not be too hard to have a prompt pop up either displaying the character inventory before you delete it, or simply saying something like "This character has 5 items and 1000g in his inventory - Are you sure you want delete?"

Regards,

Hengis

That would be pretty nice, but you usually dont keep items on pvp characters so remind him never to do that without looking again, and try not to put good items on pvp chars if you will constantly change them.(As most do)

Maybe a way to view inventory when you are logging in would help too?

So you know which char has that stack of dust before you log in...then log back out -.o
