Call Totem 10E / 5C / 60RC
Perform a Totem Call over the body of a fallen ally. For 40...120 seconds, or while that ally remains dead, that ally's level 5...18 totem spirit comes from the Halls of Melandru to fight alongside you. (attrib: Beastmastery)
...
some options for Totem mechanics:
- Totems function exactly like a(n extra) pet, they respond to pet attacks/calls (except Comfort Animal), are subject to enchants/hexes/conditions, and will attack your target
- Totems are immune to conditions and cannot be the target of spells, are not affected by pet skills, but will attack your target as a pet would
- same, except the Totem is totally uncontrollable and will single-mindedly seek out the person/creature that caused its human counterpart's demise. If no single individual was responsible, the closest enemy will do.
....
Why? meh. I woke up wondering why a Ranger couldn't have a hard rez. Then I thought if they did it would have to be something... different. Just wanted to write it down.
Ranger Skill: Call Totem

Seems kinda eh, but when did Rangers raise dead things?

All depends on the implementation. If they went with the first option, then for 120 seconds you just (nearly) doubled the effectiveness of any BM skill on your bar, and it should probably be Elite.

If you want to make it really interesting, you could add something like:
If an ally is raised while its totem is present, that ally appears where the totem currently is (regardless of res skill used) and gains +3...+8 health regen and attacks 33% faster for 5...10 seconds.
If an ally is raised while its totem is present, that ally appears where the totem currently is (regardless of res skill used) and gains +3...+8 health regen and attacks 33% faster for 5...10 seconds.

Interesting.

But make it an Elite if it is affecting BM skills on your skillbar. Personally, I would place this under the Wilderness Survival Attribute and have no bonus to the other skills in your skill bar, thus not having to make the skill Elite.
