they refuse to give a date....and it may not even be an auction hows ....they mention "trade improvments"
in any event they won't say...becuase then they would be held to that date....
I don;t think it's very high on the "to do" list.

I think Gaile already said there won't be an auction house, but improvements to the trade system.

Well they're slowin killing the trading part of the game, so I really don't see how they're gonna improve an aspect of the game they don't like too much.

Yes, but the problem with an in game auction house could be disasterous. I'm sure that many of us have been in game when someone is trying to sell some crappy item for something ridiculous like 10k. Now picture the in game auction house flooded with all the same type of crap. Plus, instead of just a few thousand using the gwg auction house, you'd prolly have half a million using the in game one. That could get real messy real fast.

If thats killing I'm all for it and this from someone who lost over 100K on runes.

The release of an improved trade mechanism should have nothing to do with the next Chapter's release. ANet themselves have stated that interface improvements and the like are not considered part of new games etc, but are rather on-going improvements to all games.

Farmers will still farm and just sell to merchant almost everything, poor players will remain poor even if they find a perfect drop. Btw I'm happy too about the last update, I never farmed and almost never traded; there are so many things around to do apart from sitting in Drok's and spamming all day. The only thing I trade right now are pets when I don't have enough time to start a quest.

Lets hope they never comes as the last thing the game needs is pathetic auction houses which waste peoples time and server resources. There are better, quicker solutions.

Search round, youll find much better options and ones whch help the game vs waste our time.

What you want is a mechanism that lets you place an item into a public inventory with a price/buyout which allows people to browse and buy as they please.
Prices for everything would come way down if this were introduced, and there'd be very little spamming. Here's hoping. . .

yes, make it like the matrial traders are now..the prices are not set by the players really...you either chose to take the price offered or not....the price is some how set by supply and demand.
