Remove Merchant from Elona Reach
dirtydoughboy
Removing the merchant from elona reach should get rid of all those stupid bots..I hope..not too sure how they work..but unless they have all bags and belts with holding runes....
Ugh maybe it wouldn't work after all...
Help me out there, this is ridiculous. There has to be a way to get rid of all these goddamn 55's. These farm bots are destroying the economy for everyone but themselves.
On second thoughts, I think it might work..IMO remove the merchant...
Please feel free to comment thought here on this, ideas are whats needed..

"Destroying the economy"
How so? Last I checked 15k armor always costs 15k.

What they need to do is this: turn off the entrance to Elona's Reach, tell everyone there that if they don't want to be banned, they have 1 minute to leave. Everyone left standing is banned. If you went afk, you can go gripe.

The economy is fine. News of its demise has been highly exaggerated.
These bots don't hurt the economy. New greens and improved high end drops mean all players have a shot at high end items without spending millions. This hurts the bots because now nobody wants/needs eBay gold. The bot problem will slowly dissolve into the mists.
The only thing the bots do is clutter up the screen.

Actually, all the players are running the economy. I say get rid of the ectos, the rare drops, the shards, the black dye, the green weapons, the crafting materials, the runes, the gold, anything that drops. Delete all of it.
Delete everything after removing all the drops. Economy is now fixed, completly reset, and nothing drops to re-create the hosed economy issue.

if you remove the merchant, the bots will just very quickly be reprogrammed to map to another outpost and use the merchant there.
Guardian of the Light
If GW were to randomize their areas that would make places un-botable.
lishi
they will just reprogram the bot making the zoning

Simple solution: Desert Phantoms.
Add phantoms like they did in perditions rock because they remove enchantments and interrupt spells.

If the bots can do compex trades... warping should not be that difficult.
Also bots do NOT always equal 55hp monk farmer. But Bots/Human Bots that work for $$$ should be banned whenever found.
Bots that farm gold for sell online do hurt the game causing inflation. One thing I do love is the psudo fixed price of materials and fixed prices of armor and the collectors.

Hm.. not everyone who farms there is a bot, though, I do wish we didn't see that many mo/w chars in elona, it causes lag and I feel for the average player on their first time to elona... to deal with trying to find a group in a place full of farmers.
Then again, was/is sorrows furnace any different? Can one find a team to do the quests or is it still about farm runs over there?
No, I don't agree with bots. Actually, I can't see the point of them, especially at elona considering elona doesn't drop anything worth your while.

Or, you could just get rid of the bots.
Please try not to offer rediculous solutions to problems only A-net can solve. They are cleaning up the bots as quickly as they can.

I like the idea of removing all merchants from towns and restricting them to guildhalls only, this way it promotes people to join a guild and also solves the problem of farm bots once and for all.
True the bots could form a bot guild ; ) but on the + side when Anet finds one they can ban the whole guild.

As for removing the merchant, they will just zone and use another merchant. This would just hurt the people who have a legit use of the merchant ie. everybody else.

If they were to remove the ghostly hero , so that isnt visable in the start of the mission, the bots will have trouble getting their bearings straight. That should make it more difficul for em.
besides that first gate is quite redundant
