im wondering how to get to maatu keep without going thru the missions.
if possible could anyone give me a run there or just tell me the route to take from marketplace?

I don't see a couple of questions, only one. From the Marketplace, you go into Bukdek Byway briefly, go south to Xaquang Skyway, head east to Shenzun Tunnels, then go to Maatu. I haven't done it myself, but I don't think there are any gates along the way. I doubt you can do any of the later missions either without a primary quest, but who knows.

this sux i tried to go there and i cant even get into the skyway. there is a large gate in the way.

Nothing bad about playing the game....with your first char. DOing the quests/missions over and over gets annoying

this is my 2nd char thru factions and i just want maatu so i can get to the kurzick cities to buy armor. and i have nuthing wrong with playing the game thru correctly first time.

actually you can only goto Kurzicks after the battle in the sewer quest, so.. no shortcut ^_^

After Napui our quest got bugged last night, so to get something out of it, i zoned to Maatu so that is possible. But you can't pick up any new primary quest there, so i will have to re-do the bugged quest to get to the temple with one of my toons.

i already played through the game with 3 chars, and i liked it. But what i really don't like is the repetitive scenes in missions and such when playing with other real players. Because only 50% is willing to skip the scenes..a well you can't have everything.

yes first day i took my charecter to run to skip missions but soon realized Anet made this game UNRUNNABLE in most areas... the missions usually take their respective quests to enter and some primary quests are needed to get past blockaded gates.

what happens when you have someone in your team (preferable leader), who already has been there? and you try and run as far as you can. Will you see gates or not? Will the dude be able to run to a town and get the others with him?
