Minipet Pricing Guide (Don't ask for PCs)

People get them as gifts and dont really know what they are/what their worth. Especially now that they arent "hot new items".

I'm trying to sell Shiro 95k..no luck ;(

Well, its time for a price update on the Mini Pets!
As you all know, its been several months sence the release of GWF and almost a year and a half sence GW started.

I've been logging the prices that the Mini Pets have been going for. Here are the results.

Prices are not stable.
Consider that you’ll ever find someone selling for a really cheap price and someone buying for an incredible high price.

Whites (average of 10K , recomended)

Devourer -> 4k-10k
Necrid Horseman -> 10k-15k
Jade Armor -> 5K - 10K
Seige Turtle -> 10k-12k
Hydra -> 8k-10k
Troll -> 5K-10k
Temple Guardian -> 10k-15k
Fungal Wallow -> 8k-10k


Purple (average of 18K , recomended)

Kirin -> 15k-20k
Charr Shaman -> 15k-25k
Burning Titan -> 20K



Gold (average of 40K , recomended)

Shiro -> 30k-80k (Most times at 55K)
Rurik -> 30k-80k (Most times at 40K)


Green (average of 80K , recomended)

Kunnavang -> 70k – 100k
Bone Dragon -> 70K- 100k ( I actually saw it go for 50K once, lost out on it)

This are the Current prices as of Oct. 13th 2006!

Sold my Mini Bone Dragon for 100k + 18 ectos

bone dragon is still selling for 100 + 20-40 ectos.

And yeah Matt, your prices are on the very lower end of things.

Oh, and I still don't think it's rare to see kuun in the upper 80's or even 90's.

I think matt is attempting to engineer a price reduction by trying to sound smart imo... i would think it a good idea to remove his posts as it gives a very bad indication on prices mainly because... he's wrong...

Traded a fungel wallow for a seige turtle (im so happy) and saw somebody selling a whiptail for 5k
I think it is very nice to see mini-pet prices coming down-to-earth, I personally think they should have made them untradable, BUT you could pick what you got.

Here is what I've noticed after seeing the prices for many months on end. Probably very similar to what King has.

BTW Matt, one last thing about your post. Kuunavang and the Dragon do NOT sell at the same price. Dragon is MUCH more rare, sought after and way easier to sell.

Obviously someone who wants the more expensive pets but either cant afford them.

Probably do to having 15 swords and 35 sheilds that do basically the same thing.

Almost sold my Bone Dragon for 100K+28E (but I backed out, couldn't sell my baby O_o' )
Bought Siege Turtle 6K

Bought Whiptail for 10k
Bought Turtle for 10k
Bought Wallow for 8k.

All very quick buys, so mebbe I paid more than they wanted, but hey, my menagerie is growing ^^

Yeah well. I am interested in this minipet thing. I'm trying to get back into guild wars. My buddy said only ONE of your chars gets them on it's birthday, but all other sources imply that each gets one. I can't wait till next bday, im SURE they will be even more rare, who will actually have a 2 yr old char? anyway, thats just a thought, I was wondering if I should actually look forward to my old mesmer and rangers' birtdays coming up in two months :-P. I have so many questions, I'll post them elsewhere, I used to be a forum mod, lol. I'll restrain myself!


*EDIT: I don't think the programmers would conciously mess with the economy that drastically. They probably will tally up how many people actually are going to get a second birthday present, and who knows it may not even be a pet, or if it is, it may be ONE pet, the same one for everyone, so that it doesn't appear as rare as it really is. I remember in the day of CCGs, I had an Ultra rare Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight FOIL from reflections series, I was confused because there were so many ultra rares, (like twice as much or more proportionately in that series) that ultra rares themself werent as rare, but the particular card was still rare. I don't even remember how it works, but even if on the second bday they give out all the same pet, it will still be in high demand probably, but the old ones that are still around (some people kill accounts or become inactive and items are "lost") that the old ones will be rare by then too, who knows. Probably one of those situations where you sell while they are still new.

The following is a estimate of value of mini-pets for November 15, 2006, approximately 2 weeks post nightfall release. This is based on current trends in price depreciation and effects of inscriptions on overall economy as well as changes in general by the release of nightfall. Basically, save your money and you can get more pets for your money in the near future.

Keep in mind prices can fluctuate a lot between sellers.

Whites (average of 5K)

Devourer -> 3k-4k
Necrid Horseman -> 5k-7k
Jade Armor -> 3K-5K
Seige Turtle -> 5k-7k
Hydra -> 4k-6k
Troll -> 3K-4k
Temple Guardian -> 3k-5k
Fungal Wallow -> 3k-4k


Purple (average of 15K)

Kirin -> 14k-18k
Charr Shaman -> 14k-18k
Burning Titan -> 15-20K



Gold (average of 50K)

Shiro -> 35k-60k
Rurik -> 40k-65k

Kunnavang -> 100k – 100k+10 Ectos (Will go up--finite made, less in existence each week such as accounts that are no longer used as well as collectors taking them off the market permenantely.)


Bone Dragon -> 95K- 100K+5 Ectos (Collectors with big money have aquired them, more characters per account equals more birthdays, they are not limited and so with each day are becoming more common).



This next set of pets is a price prediction for October 27, 2006. It will be too hard to predict for November 15th.

Pets available starting October 27th


Gray Giant -> 100K+5 Ectos - 100K +20 Ectos (This pet will drop fast in value then in the very long run will climb slowly in value due to the limited nature.)


Warmaster Varesh -> 100K+10Ectos - 100K+25 Ectos (This pet will drop fast in value then in the very long run will climb slowly in value due to the limited nature.)



These figures were achieved through very extensive research and are considered to be as close to the future prices as possible but are not a guarantee.

Had bought a Fungal Wallow for 6k and sold it for 10k an hour later.
