I feel bad now for the guy I sold the Piggy to for 50k but not so bad that I traded the Wallow for it. It was damn rude of ANet to screw with the values without some kind of warning. If they didn't intend for them to be rare they should have made them White and not Gold

I won't complain about my 10k Piggy purchase though, as it was worth it to me for the joy of giving my Pet a wee bitty Mini friend

...here's to one of the finest minis ever created by ANet!

Just curious, are these Mini Pigs going to go up in price after a year or so? since year of the pig won't come around for a while....

I stand corrected. With the pigs being given away in the finales, the bottom just dropped out. If you're going to sell, do it now, before they become completely worthless.
Edit: There are still people wanting to buy for about 2-3k. Probably speculators, looking to make a profit later on.

Another quick update:
Mini pigs 5k (even less, very common)
Mini Kuunavang dragons 90k+ (going up, really up!)

Someone asked about island gaurdians: for those minipets (like also pandas, kanaxai, oni, ...) a price check is almost impossible, they're too rare.

I've done large amount of trading in the last 24 hours. I started with 21k and now have several hundred. Rough prices are as follows.

Mini trolls and wallows bought at 5-8k. Resold at 10-12k. Minimal profit, but they were nice right off.
A pair of Devourers set me back 3k each and sold for 8k and 10k respectively.
Mini Varesh bought 15-22k, sold 25-35k
Temple Guardians bought 10-15k, sold 20-30k
Necrid horsemen bought 10-17k, sold 20-27.5k
Traded a necrid horseman for a charr shaman, sold shaman 40k
Jade Armor bought 10-15k and sold 15-30k. (I traded several, but I can't remember what for)
As for piggies, I was buying at 10-15k and selling anywhere from 20k-50k before the first celestial. After the first celestial, people started literally giving them away. I haven't payed more than 4k for one since, and i got two for free. I've sold anywhere from 7-15k as of now. I foresee a rise in the price a little later. Hold on to your piggies.

Too bad the pig went down so much in value...A friend bought me one for 25k on Thursday, thinking that they would remain rare. Now they're going for under 2k...Sad...Makes me mad how they made the pig out to be a rare thing, and then loaded everyone with them. I got 5 pigs out of just being at a few of the festival celebrations >.>

I've been selling (still), and find that a lot of people can't get over pre-update pricing. Apparently it's difficult for people to comprehend that they can't look at the Guru post and assume that the item can't possibly go over that price. It the last several hours every last one of my sales has been between 3k and 15k more than the price here, and people have been happy to pay them. I swear one guy crapped himself in glee when I sold my Hydra for 25k (Guru price is 10-15). People are relying on outdated information, and it's annoying to spend 20 minutes explaining economics one to some mindless drone salesperson. Am I the only person perturbed by this?
And I got called a noob today by some guy trying to sell a piggy at 50k.

Edit: It's almost 4 am, I'm tired, and my spelling/grammar are horrible. For this I apologize.

Edit #2: The fact that I had to edit my edit for grammar proves it. Sad part is Firefox has a built-in spell-checker.

If people want to take guru prices as 100% correct and never outdated then they are idiots.

If you have a better suggestion then I am sure it would benefit the GW community greatly. The contributors work for free so cannot spend all their time updating prices and unjusting them accordingly.
