I'm not really buying any more since ANET will change it so you don't need minis for all characters in hall. Minis will be shared by all characters if want to make your hall like that.
Though it might not have much of an effect because most of us only filled up on pets with one character in our halls to begin with. This influx of ectos might also make new mini collectors out of permasins and that could help the pet trade.
