But what about daggers?
Also, because you have two daggers, that means one attack is actually two hits, right?
If so, that means that daggers would be by far the best weapons for a zealous modification?

No, there is only one hit every 1.33 second, but invesing in the critical strikes attribute increases your chances of scoring a double strike (two hits in one). Some skills are also automatic double strikes (dual attacks).
