Fiery Sword Aint Fiery

ok, so i got all these peices to make a "fiery dragon sword", and it isnt the skin i was expecting...is it cuz its a long sword and not a dragon sword?




is there a difference,(besides the skin) even tho both are maxed and do fiery dmg? which one should i keep, this 1 or the fiery dragon sword i know they're not worth much, so plz dont tell me to salvage or sell to merch, just tell me which 1 i should keep and y...

Only Fiery Dragon swords have the skin you're looking for.

The flames are exclusive to the Dragon Sword skin. Weapon mods do not change the physical appearance of the weapon.

the long sword has 15% in a stance. I would say its better.

ok, ty guys, but the Question still remains, is the FDS purly cosmetic? will my long sword deal out just as much dmg(excluding MODS)? which weapon has better mods to keep?

Your longsword will roll the same damage as the fiery dragon sword. The long sword will deal more damage when you're in a stance. I would say, depending on your build, find a 3/1 vamp or a zealous mod and put it on the long sword and it will rock. IF you get a vamp mod for the long sword keep the fiery sword as a second so you don't degen all your health between battles.

Overall, of the two, the long sword is much better. PS: Customize it too and that will help you.

Weapon skins never change, even if you apply upgrades (Unless the developers make changes). The only thing players can do is dye them. Most of the time the skins of weapons are cosmetic - what matters are the stats. There are different attack rates e.g. sword/hammer/axe/bows (in particular have differing rates between other bows) but the actual skins of weapons are purely cosmetic.

There are no Dragon Swords in the game btw. You find these swords as Fiery Dragon Swords (of X) and the fire damage mod is not replaceable.

There are Icy Dragon Swords too, though those only drop in one area and are all blue and 15%>50%.
