Hi All, a quick question...
A group of us played GW a while back and are looking to return after some unsuccessful excursions into other MMO's. We always commented on how much fun it would be to duel each other in 1v1 combat. Has this been implimented anywhere?
Sorry for such a simple question, but a quick search releaved no reliable details.
Cheers, and see you all again soon!

Yes it has.
You can start battles 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4 and so on from your guild hal.

Oh and OP make sure you use the Q&A forum for queston in future. Thanks XD

Remember, they never said we were getting a 1v1 arena. They said they were going to implement 1v1 in some fashion. Guild Scrimmage is it.

Its good fun, but its such a pain in the ass!
because its basically a GvG, you have to wait for the timer to go down, then you have to run miles to meet up with your opponent, and just 'agree' not to go anywhere near the NPC's!
Inevitably though people run off to the saftey of their hall to avoid humiliation!...
So its not like you can just quickly pop into somewhere with a friend fight it out and get a confirmed win.
Because its all based at the guild hall, which has been designed specifically for 8v8 its not ideal for any scrimage less than 8 really.
But What these scrimages do highlight (and I hope ANET are paying attention) is that 1v1 are DEFINATLY wanted!.. our Alliance chat always has someone wanting to 1vs1. if there is 2v2 then thats 4 people, and usually when you get 4 people together wanting to do something its best to do TA.
Cmon ANET get the Gladitor Arena rolled out, asap!

of course a build, any build can completly dominate another class not specifically designed for it!
1 vs 1 in ANY game in the world means there are rules to LEVEL the playing feild. (chess, tennis, snooker, boxing...)
a Crippling shot ranger wouldnt ">" ANOTHER Crippling shot ranger! nor would a Crippling shot ranger have any chance against a blinding flash ele! (duh!)
realising this and wanting 1v1 to be more fun, our alliance is very creative when it comes to deciding the rules for a 1v1.
For starters you MUST have pure class vs pure class, and of the SAME class!..
so warrior vs warrior, ranger vs ranger, ele vs ele... only then does it become a good battle, because its more about your skill knowledge and your abilities to use them.
I made a tournement called 'Helmet warriors'.. you have to be a warrior and you can only wair a helmet! - great fun

Hehe, 1v1 gets boring after a while tbh. Mantra of Persistance mesmer with CoP just beats anything tbh.
Dodgeball is fairly fun. Fastcasting mesmers with 105 hp and one skill only, lightning orb. Its one hit kill, so the only way to avoid death is to dodge. There is always somebody that brings mindshock though...
