No sound from anything...

I am not getting sound from GW or from anything for that matter. My speakers work, the crackle when I turn them up very high, but no sound. I've also plugged in headsets that I know work and still no sound. My volume is not muted. Any idea on what to do?

Did this start happening after anything in particular? My guess would be that you might have plugged the speakers into the wrong port.

No, it really did not start happening after anything in particular that I know of. I've checked the ports and they seem to be O.K. Everything is plugged in correctly.

Factions has experienced quite a number of sound drop-outs and things of the like, perhaps logging off the game then back in may cure some of your problems?

It's more than in game. It's no sound from anything.

You could try reinstalling or updating your sound drivers, check the audio properties and see if anything is muted. If you're still hearing crackeling sounds every now and then, it could be a pinched cable or loose connection somewhere.
