Router problems
awesome sauce
Today I lost my internet connection...kind of randomly as i was using my comp. It came and went for 1 or 2 minute spurts after disconnected periods of about 10 minutes. I unplugged my router and hooked my modem directly to the comp and now it works fine, but I don't know how to get it to work with my router again. The only cause that I can think of is that it came after I ran a disk cleanup. Any suggestions?

Have you upgraded your router's firmware?

Umm... no I dont think so. How would I go about doing that?

I don't think that kind of thing would require a firmware upgrade necessarily.
Can you log in to the router and check the settings to see if anything has changed, or maybe reset it back to default operation settings? Check your connection settings as well in the network connections, maybe create a different connection. After that go to the cmd prompt while connected and type ipconfig /all and see if you have a designated IP address, subnet, DNS, etc. and try to ping some IP's.

I reset it back to the default settings and now it's working fine. Thanks.
