Are the the textures on Canthan armor a much higher resolution than those from Tyria? The Tyrian stuff looks like blurry pieces of crap now in comparison. Probably not likely to happen, but I wish they'd update the old skins.

i think my dragon/ascalon mix looks better than factions art

One thing I can't stand about the Factions armor is that the Kurzick Sentinel helmets expose the warriors neck and back of the head. They gotta fix that.

Regardless of which you like better artistically, the Factions textures appear to be higher quality. If you compare them side by side, lines and detail on the Canthan armor are much finer and more stark.

I meant the detail on my set is better still.

The factions armours have a lot of stuff added to them. A lot lines, ornaments and other useless things.

The prophecies armours are a bit more primitive in what's added to them. Wyvern for example, a lot of filler has been used on those whereas 15k kurzick has a lot more eh.. detail, in some way.

I first started comparing the two when I when I tried to mix my 15k necrotic chest and leggings with my 15k luxon gloves. The two armors looked similar, like they were almost counterparts, but as soon as I put them together, it looked like the gloves belonged in a different game. The necrotic armor has lots of fine detail in it, little bones, skulls and eyes. The luxon piece is very crisp and clear, but the lines on the necrotic are thick and fuzzy, as if a lower resolution texture had been applied, and it had to be blown up.

Just cycling through my characters at the selection screen, it seems like a pretty big difference. Besides the luxon necro, I have a 15k kurzick assassin, a 15k druid ranger (lots of detail with the little sticks and stuff), and a dragon warrior. The dragon doesn't look as bad as the others, but when I switch from Canthan to Tyrian, I feel like I've taken my glasses off, or something.
