Quality of canthan chest's?

Basically im wondering what the quality of drops are like for the chests in cantha? wether they are canthan chests, kurzick chests or luxon chests.

Are they worth me buying keys for? in tyria i only really bought fow keys..

chests are a risk and always will be..drop rate has improved so the chances of getting a nice drop has improved

ive run 400 chests in 3 days and my average gold drop is 1 in 3 and maybe 1 in 10 golds are worth selling the rest are either salvaged or merched

well it helps to unlock stuff now that they have better stats on them then before, i got a really nice gold daggers with 2 max stats(7vs ele and 33% daze) and 13% in stance but it was sadly 7-16, i slavaged it then threw it away for fun.

i'm wierd, deal wit it.

Canthan chests seem to be dropping only purples for me for some time now. Kurzick chests dropped a few golds (worthless). Honestly, I only noticed an imporved droprate the first week of release. Now everything is back to it's normal crappy state.

i got perfect daggers form a canthan chest. max 9 daggeer master 15 when over 50 30hp and 33bleeding (I think) gave them to a guildie

but i've goal to get 1200 chests, just for fun

I've found that many canthan chests dont drop max items, so I stopped opening them and have stuck to the Kurzick and Luxon ones instead.

I randomly get spurts of like 10-20 purples... but then other times there are 8 golds in a row. Usually there are one or two golds for every 7 or 8.

well i get mosly purple runes or plagueborn stuff but never anything good. i did get a non max goldplagueborn axe with 20/19 sundering. i thought that was good. i salvaged and got its other mod though. 19% enchant lengthening. sad day for me

19% enchant on an axe is pretty good for monks, you'll be able to get some cash from that

In Cantha I've only gone after the Kurzick, Luxon, and Forbidden Chests. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the Canthan Chests do not count toward the high-end chest opening title, whereas these three do. That may explain the drops not being as consistently good.

Canthan chests are the equivalent of any chests in Tyria prior to Shiverpeak chests.
