Is this part of the P v E story or is this somthing diffrant, Is there any reward for pts accumulated? Just a little confused as to what this mission is.

It's not part of the PvE story, it's just a challenge mission. You should be able to pick up your next primary quest from an NPC at the Dragons throat outpost though, and carry on with the story from there.
