ritualist ashes issue...
Saider maul
when in battle and you hold ashes henchies don't target the next enemy. they just stand there. only my spirit is attacking.
here the pic. please update the AI and give them some decent skills WITH the knowledge to use them.

i get the feeling they made new henchies purposly retarded so people would group more
Ranger Rog
Could be, but they're still better than most pugs

Use Ctrl+Shift+Space to get your henchmen to attack.
Manic Smile
the thing with henches is you have to attack to get them to attack something...try tabbing then space bar on a enemy and see if they will attack while you hold ashes...not sure if that'll work or not
Therlun
henchies react to target calling.

That thought has crossed my mind but I can't decipher why they'd prefer us to team up with 'people' rather than go henchway.

I know you must have a valid line of thought there but I'm confused...it's not a bug so much as just bad design...assuming it's not purpously designed that way.

Making them attack is easy to sort out, making them move is another RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing problem!
After going skill capping in Mineral Springs 3 times today, i think all 5 casters have been killed at the same time about 8 times. 7 of them from standing together, then fleeing together, then standing together again vs Ignite Arrows.
1 of them from all 5 henchman standing (not even trying to run!) from 3 maelstroms!

Henchies will attack your called target if you are close enough to it, just outside the agro circle, to far away and they won't attack it till they get closer.
KamikazeChicken
Hench will no longer attack voluntarily when a mob approaches (Takes about 20 seconds of them being hit to react), your minions are in combat, or a spirit is in combat. You must target call for the hench to do ANYTHING.

Hi
the problem is that while holding the ashes you CANT attack, so you cant tell them to attack without moving. Even then im not sure that they react to it as a standard call (you get im following rather than im attackign so not sur ebaout that.

oljomo That's why you need to use Ctrl+Shift+Space, which would show as "I'm targeting ----". This will cause the henchies to attack that target as long as the targeting remains active.

that makes no difference. if your holding ashes henchies wont continue to attack your next called target.

Mustache Mayhem
yeah saider tried posting this before about the ashes.. they probably fix it sometime- it is pretty annoying you have to adjust your build
Saider maul
whats more annoying is when admin disreguard your legit complaint like your a noob.
Fungus Amongus
Saider, your image says nothing except that your henchies won't auto-attack enemies that won't even aggro you.
Your henchies will attack called targets while holding ashes. Pets won't. I just tested this myself and recorded the results.
Right click and choose "Save Target As" if clicking on the link doesn't work.

first: off the warrior got struck.
second: the mob i chose was only one easy to show what is the problem.
third: if your in battle and the hench decide to not attack after they killed their target,... why should we have to call our targets just to get them to attack.

I think it's is the same when holding anything. my Minions where whacking at the mobs but the henchmen, while beeing close enough that the enemy is in the aggro-circle, did just stand idle, even when I got hit and myself casting spells at them doesn't count as attack either.

Remember, without pugs and hench, Spirit Rift would be a completely useless spell. Hench are even worst, because they are programmed to stay together
