yes, there are platinum weapons in factions...

but, dont think that they have the name in platinum, its just a skin like a fellblade, but this is a platinum sword

I thought the same when i saw a guy selling one in LA.

Platinum Bows, Swords, etc.. decent looking weapon skin. Yes they exist.
