I know they are to drop in the Nahpui Quarter mission (per GuildWiki), but I was wondering who drops them. Is it the Tengu "Star" tribe, The Bosses, the boss spawns, all the above or none of the above. I'd really like to walk away from the day with a celestial axe and don't really want to buy one (more fun to earn 'em)

I believe any creature during the Nahpui Quarter mission can drop it (Star mobs, Essence mobs, bosses themselves). And then there are the Chests, of course.

I've done some chestruns there...bought 10 keys, had 7 gold weapons, of which NONE of them max damage...so crappy.

Something is definitely up with the celestial chests. It is a ridiculous amount of non-max gold weapons even though i always leave a few days in betwen going there. However the other day i found a celestial shield with +29 hp always in the mission where you have to save Vizu. No idea what this means though

ive farmed alot of the star tengus and none of em have dropped celestial weapons. The chests i believe are the only way to get them and the chests do suck very much.

I've had a few celestial weapons drop and they can come from any creature in the mission. A couple of weeks back I farmed the star mobs with a Ranger trapper build for quite a few runs and got celestial weapons from them but nothing great, the better couple of drops I got came from the celestial creatures themselves when I did the mission properly. I got 4 keys as drops in the area and used them, but only got non celestial purple junk from the chests. I hear people saying that the drop rate for celestial weapons has dropped of considerably though.

Agreed, the drop rates are pretty crappy, and the non-max stuff from chests is damn frustrating.

I'd heard that the chests had a decent drop rate for gold weapons, so I went in with some keys (pricey, ouch), and received nothing but purple after purple.

Well, tried about 3 runs through early yesterday (while Europe had favor) and got a big zip from the chests and everyone else. Tried again last night once America finally got the favor back and still have yet to find a celestial weapon of any kind from any source... though I did get a few nice max purple weapons from the chests... including a Max Barbed Cren Sword of Ogre-Slaying (req 10)... but little else to write home about.

I got a gold cel bow max from a chest there, too bad it had only 12 vs hexed

Dunno, was walkin a guildie through the mission last night, 3 of us total plus henches, in one chest we all got Max Dmg Cestrial Bows. Bam 3 in a row just like that. Mine was Req 9, 19% Dmg under 50% health and +29hp. Not perfect but damn nice. It was either a shocking or Icey string, cant remember atm as I am at work.
Of 4 chests that was the only gold, Thank Pete, the others opened first sos I wasted no keys.

does this mission use the cantha keys? or is there a special key you need ?
