Mayhem in the marketplace part 1.. classical negative example of a lousy quest?

Ok, I've just rolled a new Canthan born character, and I really have to say Mayhem in the marketplace is *absolutely painful* to do. Why can't they just give us all the quest points and let us pick the order in which to run them instead of sending us all over the map? Seriously it gets old after you spoke to the third guy

That's a great explanaiton of why it's such a lousy quest, thanks.
That quest isn't event hard, you can do it with henchies.

The mayhem isn't in the game, it's what's going on inside your head when you see the next place you have to go. Especically if those stupid peasants body block you and make you take a million detours.
:P

I agree its an annoying quest, but its pretty easy.
ANet really made me sad with some of these quests...
Talk to x1, talk to x2, talk to x3, 2,00exp all in 1 little area.

Anet is just preparing you for your future jobs as a FedEx delivery-man. You should be thankful they are giving you all this experience in running back and forth! </sarcasm>

I indeed totally hated it. Too many of the Canthan Fed-Ex quests make you go back to the quest giver to get reward, too.
I really loved the feel of the Luxury Goods quest though. Handing out silver mirrors to homeless people makes the setting feel how it should. I can do without the bureaucracy feelings that Mayhem and Medical Supplies quests make you feel though.

My Assassin still needs to complete it but I can't be bothered with all the tedious walking.
Talk to some guy --> kill a few enemies --> walk some --> talk to guy #2 --> Kill more --> walk..ZZZzz

this quest and so many others require way too much walking and not much of anything else.
having to go back to the person that gave u the quest after completion totally blows too....especially if that person is out in the middle of nowhere.
quests like this are not an isolated incident....they happen all the time and are frustrating.

It seems to be every quest in Factions. I did three quests in a row and all I fought was a group of Am Fah... I spent 30min. on them, basically, just walking. It makes mapping easier though.
