Tyrian characters with Canthan faces.. good idea?
generik
Well as you all know with Factions we have more character customisation options available. Just wondering, does anyone know if Anet has any plans to incorporate NPCs into the game to allow existing players with Tyrian characters to take advantage of these new options that they paid for?
For one thing some of those new monk faces do look very nice, heck I really wished they were available from the go-get in GW:P, but alas now I can't change it
It's also a good opportunity for Anet to introduce more money sinks into the game by charging a relatively hefty fee each time you change your hairstyle, and a even more hefty fee perhaps for faces.
What'd you guys think of this idea?

On the faces thing, no, I remember them specifically saying that they wanted to keep the looks seperate for the chapters... However, a hair stylist would be very welcome and hopefully will be soon fourthcoming

Urgh that's such a shame.. to reroll or not to reroll... 3 more months to birthday though.
Damned you anet!

yep, Awning is in the same prediciment at the moment, i hate the hair cut i gave him, but i have 15k cultist and a lovely green on him (customized for the extra damage) and i seriously want to reroll him just for the hair...
Doubt i will, i'm attached to him now... 12 months old and about to hit his first b'day, I'd cry if i did

I just took a look at the new options.. and decided I'd pass up on them in favor of my 9 month old character. This is so infuriating, we literally paid for these new content!
Lonesamurai
yeah we paid for lots of new content, but you have more options now for your tired old characters, new armour, new quests, new skills/builds, its all good man

The ability to use dye on a char's hair would be cool, even if I can't change the style I'd like to slap a bit of colour on now and then...

Anyway speaking of more optionsdoes anyone recall Gaile mentioning that rubies and sapphires may be used in the future for crafting "jewellery"?
What do you think it might be?

Since in the future we can buy additional slots I guess that's a good compromise, albeit crazy

Changing faces seems rather odd to me, I believe I saw Gaile laugh at someone for requesting the same thing in one of the old chatlogs.

Hair and facial hair stylists... Easy enough to do, even doing an easy FABLE style system

whatever happened to the weddings?
I thought that would have been a cool feature for the game.
When people get married most people change their surname. Now weddings are a thing that never will be i guess.
I am glad the guild capes changed from those pull overs. (dis 127 WTF!!!!11)

Plus I really don't see this being that hard of an option to implement, considering that there is already functionality in place to change your name if you manage to sneak something inappropriate by their filters and then get caught.

I would go with a gold sinc to change hair style and color of a canthan style with a Tyria character but not as far as to change the face.
You can dye, grow, cut, style your hair with someone proficent.. Don't see plasitc sugery (one could aruge magic..) in GW .. Yet
But I do like to keep the face and it shows how far you have brought your character. Imagine bringing a C1 charater and a new player to (C5 only) seeing your face, asking where are you from? Much better RPG aspects to it.

Of course if they choose not to it is fine too, but I really dread the idea of deleting PvE characters. so extra character slots at $10 each will be a very welcomed idea

Hair styling and color changing is obviously a good thing.
What about name/face/skin changing?
Once per your lastest chapter installment maybe? (or something you can come up with)
I think because there is no harm in it, it should be taken into consideration.
It will only make people happy.
