I believe the shield is the collector/crafter shield in Factions. I don't think you got ripped off, though. IDS isn't worth that much anymore. If anything, I think you got a good deal.

it costs 10k + materials to craft, so with the time cost put into it (getting to a 15k crafter location) its probably worth around 15k, considering IDS are rapidly dropping (or at least they were) you got a good deal.

Id say just use the shield, although it looks dumb, it is a VERY good shield, but if you need the cash, go for 15k... or to someone who's rich and dosent know what they are doing for double that

Actually it's 5k + materials. At least the bronze shields are. But with iron and steel fairly high, you might be able to sell it for 8-10k in total. Of course, as Xiypher said, it depends on the buyer.
