While playing Guild Wars (and, so far, only while playing GW), the system information window opens. This is really annoying because most of the time, while it doesn't obscure the game screen, clicking anywhere within the window's boundaries minimizes GW, which has led to several deaths as I'm obviously unable to do anything in game until I can maximize the game again.
Sometimes it only happens every few hours, other times it seems to happen every few minutes. I can't find any correlation of when it happens to what I'm doing in game.
At first I thought it might be a key combination I'm inadvertently pushing in the course of gameplay, but it's also happened while I was AFK.
Any idea how to stop this?
System Information Window Opening While Playing

Is this coming up the same time as when you click on the shortcut to GW.EXE? Possible solution would be to create a new shortcut. If it happens while you're playing, then I would say one of the keys you're hitting is bringing up that window. Check the system information window and see if there are any shortcut keys associated with it. Like hit F2 for "system information" or something like that.

is it possible that you have a hot key program active in the background that may be triggering it? I know that with other games, you can have different effects for different keys. Such as a program called giggles. Always a good thing is to go through your active programs on start up and shut some of them down, the less on in the background, the better your quality of play will be as well.

i always have this problem when my mate comes over.
i have a HP pc.
Whenever my mate players guildwars the spec box opens.
the only thing he does diffrent from me is use WASD and holds down Ctrl and Alt all the time... anything there that might do it?

I used to have a system status window (Abit's uGuru program) pop up after I'd been playing for a while. it was alerting me that heat levels in the case were rising. (Installing an exaust fan below my video card solved that problem.) Are you using a system monitoring program that might be triggered if your computer is heating up, or using a lot of resources?

The ATI control centre as a thing about holding Ctrl + Alt and one of the direction keys, you have to go into the control centre and turn it off in the preferences.
If its a system information thing, then, are you pressing the Function keys?
Also trying a new shortcut is a good idea.
