My friend started a guild, made me an officer, then quit. There are only about 6 not very active people in it. I normally do PvE with hench, and have no need for this guild. I see people selling them, how do I do that? How much should I sell it for?
Thanks,
Don

The guild is pretty much worthless as 6 fairly inactive members. The sigil for a guild Hall last time i checked was around 21k. Pass the guild to one of the other members and leave it would be best sollution as you dont want it anyway

I'd imagine you make them the member--> officer --> leader after they'd pay you, then you'd leave...

If you are only an officer, there's much nothing you can do as only the leader is able to 'sell' the guild.

When selling a guild, the buyer is invited into the guild, and made the new leader. Dunno what is the point in that, but whatever. I'd assume most of the guild's worth is in the guild hall it has, any sane member would prolly leave the guild after being 'sold'... And you can't rename the guild anyways soooo... :P

I think he meant to say that his friend made him leader. Assuming your leader, there's not much you can do. People try to sell guilds but I don't believe they are very successful. The problem with selling guilds many people recognize it as an easy way to get scammed (such as them paying you and then you kicking them from guild rather than making them leader and leaving yourself). This may be why ANet doesn't have an option to change your guild's name, to detract intrest to buy one. For someone to buy your guild they must be pretty poor and want to be the leader of a guild, although they wouldn't be successful with such a small guild and with probably little money. Or the second would be someone just wants to have their own unique cape for them only, so they would buy the guild, kick everyone and no one would really have to know the guild's name and how lame it possibly is. They could then change the guild banner and have their own banner for significantly cheaper than if they had bought their own sigil (which was 18k last I checked, plus 2k for the cape). In my opinion, either try recruiting and make something out of it, give it to a current member, or sell it for a relatively low amount.
