Uncustomizing Addition
demon dantes
well i just got a couple new faction weapons along with a vert and now i have way to many weapons in my storage which are all customized. would anyone else like to see an option to uncustomize weapons . i customize a nice weapon i got or bought just for that extra dmg but alot of times a better weapon comes along. it could be something that the weapons guy could do for you for a fee. just looking to see if anyone feels same way

Well the whole idea of customizing the weapon is that you plan to use it, and get additional 20% to your damage with it.
I think it would kinda defeat the point if you add an possibility to uncustomize them.
Plus I'm sure there are multiple flame filled topics about this, for and against.

The whole point of customizing is to get the 20% and so that your char can only have it. You take the riskof customizing and then finding another weapon anytime you leave a city.

its impossible to "decustomize" a weapon. what are you gonna do? smash it on the ground so it's slightly bent out of shape??

You chose to make the weapon unselable when you chose to customise it. Dont come whining about it now.

Takes things out of the market too. I like that.
This is why I never customize anything worth more than 200k

How about 100k to uncustomize a weapon?
You better really wanna sell it.

Uncustomization does defeat the purpose. If you don't plan to use it don't customize it.

Not only does it defeat the purpose with the whole weapon thing, but if it happened for weapons, it would have to happen for armor as well, and the point of the 15k armor isn't so that rich people make it, uncustomize it, and sell it to an ebay n00b. It's a good idea, in principle, but I don't think ANet would take it into consideration.

then people with the preorder weapons can go ahead uncustomise and flood the market seeing as they can just get them back by typing /bonusitems while in a town or outpost

You chose to Customize. Now live with your decision.

You customize it to get +20% Dmg, but the cons is its permanitly yours. You win some you lose some.

As a weapons collector I Don't customize most of my weapons, when it comes to damage dealing I use a crafter's 15^50 one and customize it. Customizing a weapon with a cool skin is up to you.

If it were customized for your ACCOUNT thats one thing, but not just Unconstimize to be resold. naw. sorry... Can't go for that...

well, if it was uncustomizeable, then we'd have this scenario:
Guy 1 makes a PvP character, gives said character super-duper weapons in char selection screen. Then guy 1 uncustomizes the weapons and BAM! Perfect weapons.
