Wheres the best place to find naga pelts?

The Starter Island. Head north out of the Harbor area, then east through that zone. Once you get to that next zone, head straight north. The ones that drop pelts are on the beach covering that whole peninsula.

Just a quick note on this: If you are looking for them for the Naga Oil quest while playing a Tyrian-created charater...then you CANNOT get them from "Newbie Island" as that area is inaccessable...you will have to purchase them. Going price is 1k for 2 pelts at last look. Good luck.

Actually, you can get a tyrian character to the island. If you go to the docks outside the marketplace (I think it is), talk to the guy by the boat and he will take you to the harbour.

Some people are making a killing off of this because the pelts are in a tucked away corner of the map, and are really out of the way. Especially for a Tyrian.
So, some have opted to instead pay for the time of others rather than scour the map (or check GuildWiki/GuildWarsGuru/GuildWarsOnline), and the going price is about 500g each.

Lies, all LIES!!!
My Tyrian ranger went and got 14 last weekend ON SHING JAE ISLAND!!! You can get them, its just less convenient as you have to leave from Seitung harbor and not Zen Daijun (which IS inaccesible to Tyrians).

I just had my ritualist save them for my other characters....got enough for me and my guildee to get the cure (had him run to the cure for me though....got 4 and then didnt need to run with any of the others )

my GW:P warrior can usually get 4-6 pelts from each run
then back re-zone and go again .. nice for easy profits
