With the amount of complaints that have been flying around lately, be they centered around Factions or other issues, I would like to take a moment to thank those who deal with all of our whining: the moderators. To start off, I'll try to make clear to other forum members why I feel the need to create this thread.
Many of us, myself included, have at some point been frustrated with certain aspects of Guild Wars, or possibly with this site. One very important thing to remember, however, is that GuildWarsGuru provides a place for us to talk about these issues, along with a myriad of other topics. That concept in and of itself is inspiring, but combined with the sheer volume of information contained in this site and its forums, the thought becomes more than a little overwhelming. The moderators keep this site clean and running smoothly, which may seem like an effortless job to those of us who don't pay careful attention. But looking back on my days as a site administrator and a forum mod, one word immediately comes to mind: commitment.
Moderating a forum and keeping up with a site requires dedication and effort. It doesn't get much simpler than that. Try to put it in perspective. Many of us have moaned about a locked-down trade thread or a reprimand for bumping. Think about how the mods feel. Not only do they read through the often mindless banter we plaster across the forums, they dedicate time out of their life to that endeavor. Think about what you could be doing for fun in a 2-hour time frame. Now crunch that activity into a period of 1 hour. You probably wouldn't have as much fun, would you? And if you did have a lot of fun, you might very well look back on that time and say, "Wow, I never got to finish," or "Man, that was great, but I wish I could have stayed for 15 more minutes." Even though I don't moderate anymore, I'm familiar with time crunches because I live in rural Virginia, at least 45 minutes from anywhere. The mods also have to make these adjustments, even if not to the same degree, and they do it to help us. Be considerate of what others put into this site, and the effort required to do so. It's not an easy task, but they tackle it, and in my opinion, they do a damn good job.
In closing, I would like to give a word of advice to all the forum members reading this thread: Try to step outside of yourself. Before you hit the submit button, think carefully about the impact of what you're sending into cyberspace. Without the regulation provided by the mods and administrators, the forums would be stuffed full of threads and posts that were either inappropriate, off-topic or simply redundant. Case in point: The Ventari's Sell forums, which have undergone significant renovation in an effort to streamline all the parts of the Guild Wars economy playing out here on a daily basis. The description for the Off-Topic forum reads as follows: An amalgamation of the inane. Sure, it's funny, but it wouldn't make a great motto for a website, would it?
So thank you, moderators, for all the work you put into this site. Guru is a fantastic resource, and I think it will stay that way because of your efforts. I posted this because I feel that everyone deserves gratitude, and I didn't see credit being given where it's due. Great work!

Wait, I think, yes, I believe Inez just spammed! .
I myself would have to agree. I have moderated, and administerd for forums for other games that I have played (Mostly Freelancer). It was always nice to turn to a Forum to have a little fun, which we do have here, or at least I do. But it stop's getting fun, if all an admin/moderator has to do is answer rant's in PM's, and in Posts, having to remove posts, lock threads, and even if necissary, ban people. That's not what a moderator in my opinion looks forward to everyday.
So as Timeless stated, although not many show, but most of us here do respect the work you moderators and admins do for us here, even if it isn't always what the public like's, you guy's and gal's know what's good for this forum.
Thankyou Moderation and Administration for allowing us to use this forum, although many of us don't bother to read rules and regulation's to make it easyier on you folks!
