It isnt that hard but I think if you have to babysit Npcs you should have either a leash or something like people attach to kids to keep npc out of trouble.Shock collar would be good also.(Very Good))))...one that knocks Npc to the ground.Make npc flop around like a fish..)...oh well
Training Leash for babysitting Npcs

I think Anet needs to create a leash for npcs you have to babysit.I was doing Temple of Tahnnaka(SP) quest and so I talked to Mhenlo.Well I kneel to buy some bennies from the Diety and didnt notice Mhenlo took off.Well I didnt have running skills up to catch him.Anyhow he found a mob to run into.I had hench and I guess he dont rate healing. So had to start again.Quest failed.

Well, you could go /A, for Recall... if Menhlo gets out of bond range, you'll tele to him.

Recall and Protector's Stance for the Win... lol
yeah, it gets pretty annoying. After that 2nd major battle in Vizunah there is usually a ton of good stuff laying on the floor, plus a chest but you can never take the time to pick them up since Togo and Mhenlo take off through the doors.

Always fun that quest, we ended up doing it a few times with the guild recently. First someone had forgotten to take the quest, we were almost there but decided to go back for the quest.
On our second run there a bathroom break was needed. 'You guys get mhenlo I need to take a short one, but i already done it, so no worries' resulted in everyone going afk except the two who needed the quest. They had never done it tho and didnt bother to follow mhenlo, quest failed :P
On the third one we got thru even tho i had bad lag and ended aggro-ing some group that didnt need aggro-ing when the rest of the party was far ehead (mental note, using R for moving + lag = heaps of fun).

Yup that is true..) Also I had group die 5 times when Togo died before we got to the first landing.Where you have the cutscene.I was ticked.Didnt even get a shot at it and we were history.I dont know what happen to the folks from local side but they didnt keep him alive...)

When in an escort Mission, do only one thing: follow the NPC and escort him, that's all... No need to get some buffs from any deities, nor go to the merchant to sell some stuff, just do the thing you're asked!
Stockholm
Just stay close to the NPC and you will take all the aggro, only time an NPC died on me was when I put mending on him.

I hate escort missions because they don't make sense within the game. Everyone can be resurrected except the NPC you're escorting? How artificial can you get?
jackie
Another mission that might go horribly wrong because of the babysitting is Raisu Palace. Togo & Mhenlo together -.- -.- A_________A -.- -.-
Lovely combination against Shiro'ken Elementalist group.

Same quest last night, but Togo screwed the pooch. Yeah, it's not a hard quest, but I hate being responsible for the idiot AI that we have to keep alive...especially if you go with henchies. I think they pretty much ignore the NPC's.
