To put it simply, We'd like to see some more things to help build communities around. We have a large alliance, and while there is a community feel to it, there are still alot of people in the 9 guilds who dont know each at all. Now, I dont expect everybody to know everybody, but it could be alot more closely knit.
The only alliance activities that have been going on really are Challenge and elite mission groups, group supply runs/races, the random poke battle using /point, and scrimmages. We also intend to soon have a dueling tournament and set up special days within the guild, the most popular so far being Market Day every Sunday, during which we'd gather in the hall and barter. (Maybe not the most efficient way to sell something, but alot more fun!)
I'm sure some of these have been put forward before;
Fireworks in the guild hall. It doesn't seem like something that would be difficult to implement, though I don't know much of such things. Its nice to have them in town, but it'd also be nice to have them for more personal guild events. Plus, another gold sink!
Alliance channel access. I know this has been put forward many times, but here it is again. There should atleast be a way to give a user access to the alliance channel yet not have officer priveleges. There are alot of officers in the TC alliance, but we don't have any issues with spam. There is alot of pms, though, asking for something to be relayed over alliance chat, which is never denied unless it breaks one of our rules

But these are inter-alliance connections. We want to bond more with the general GW community as well. You can hold little events like tag, dance-offs, "beauty" contests, and the like in towns, as has been seen before. However, there have been some ideas tossed around for some fun town events and this is what we've come up with.
Kuunavang attacks! I suppose it doesn't fit with the storyline, but the FPE ending event as alot of fun, and even though I didn't know 99% of the people I was with there, it was alot of fun. Also quite a viable gold sink. Plus, you already have it all coded and such, no?
I can only imagine how it is for other alliances, as TC is bound by what we've accomplished. There has been alot of criticism for alliances, but they can truly be a great thing. I know its been brought up time and time again, but I feel the need to reiterate the importance of building a stronger community within the game. Even if a game isn't that great, people will stay if theres a thriving community that compels them to.
I really must get to bed now, but you can expect more to be editted in today or the next day.
