I need help with this, it's for running the souther shiverpeaks. What would be optimal equipment? I have an energy+5 katana w/ 20% enchant mod. I don't know what to use for offhand. And is this the right skillset? (Spellbreaker, serpents quickness, dodge, storm chaser, HB, healing touch, (I don't know the next two, please fill me in!)
-Thanks ahead of time

Pick Me
Are you asking running around in the southern shiverpeaks, or are you asking about running to the southern shiverpeaks from Becon's Perch?
Can't help you with the latter, but the former, you should bring the following:
Mend Ailment (remove bleeding, crippling, etc.)
Watchful Spirit/Protective Spirit/Remove Hex
Watchful Spirit is for 1) continuous healing (only 2 pips though) and useful when Spellbreaker ends. 2) If this is removed, you get health back.
Crippling/slow is the worst for a runner. Mend Ailment will remove bleeding/crippling, only 1 at a time
Slow is usually a hex from Ice Golems (Ice spells), so you can use remove hex (some people might use holy veil) and remove the hex of slowness (results from ice spells)
These are used in certain areas of the southern shiverpeaks.
Hope this helps.

No I meant running like Warcamp to Citadel and Grotto runs and stuff like that.

Heres my favorite NON 55 running build.
This build works in quite a number of places and is fully capable of the war camp to granite citadel.
Just remember when doing a run, knowing the route is the most important part.
As for the best routes to use I think Brother Gilburt(not sure on the name spelling) has posted some useful maps somewhere here in the monk forum. You may want to look for that thread to get some more info on the runs.
My monk build is:
----------------
Divine favor:16
Wilderess survival:12
skills
------------------
Watchful Spirit
Blessed Aura
Blessed sig
Purge conditions
Spell breaker
Dodge
Storm Chaser
Serpents Quickness
Armor
-----------------
60AL(+10 encht)
Weapons(not used in this run)
-----------------------------------
Katana: armor +5, enery +5
Div symbol: armor +5(encht), health +45(enchnt)
Its fairly easy to run. This build is designed for 30~45s bursts of uptime.
Just remember to use serpents before SB and Stormchaser. The time reduction from serpents allows you to do two continuous SBs if needed, and allows for Storm-Dodge-Storm chained together
And the keep in mind the purpose of Watchful spirit is simial to endure pain. Simply disenchant it if your hp gets too low.
note: In case this text looks familiar. yes I have posted this exact text in other posts of mine in the forum
