well if you have flashing blades, you dont need critical defenses unless you're:

    1) Low on HP, and
    2) Can't run away

But the 1 sec activation time leaves you completely defenseless even with flashing blades. Still... only 1 sec.

6/10. Too much energy management, but great defenses.

Put dagger mastery at 16 so you can have flashing blades up all the time. Put critical strikes at 8 and put the remainder of your attributes into either shadow arts or tactics. Depending on your choice you should be putting either Healing Signet or Shadow Refuge into your build. Your monk already doesn't like to heal you because you're an assassin you might as well try to take some of the load off him by bringing a self heal. Without the dependency on keeping up critical defenses this allows for more flexibility in your combo. As Valerius has stated before, Death Blossom is an absolute must for PvE. Think of this as the non-elite Triple Chop for assassins, not to mention that +42 extra armor ignoring damage is applied twice since Death Blossom is a dual attack, that's an extra 84 armor ignoring damage for only 5 energy and decent recharge no reason to leave this out of any PvE assassin's bar.
