When Will My Pre-Factions ARMOR Be Fixed?

I know this has been brought up, but the forum SEARCH function is not working...

The 15k Armor I purchased before Factions is not as good as what the crafter will now make you... did I waste the 100k? or will Anet have mercy on us and upgrade everyone to current stats?

I sure feel sorry for those who took the plunge on FoW armor... unless, of course, they bought it on Ebay.

Does anyone know the latest on this?

Well, there are even conflicts at the moment as to how it will get fixed.

First talk was a new NPC in one of the towns (probably Droks that would upgrade it.

Then it was you would have to talk to the crafter that made it and they would upgrade it for free.

Then it was, A new update will just fix it next time you equip it.

Last option seems to make the most sense but it still has not happened. It the code that complicated that they can't just change the default number?

no official timetable other than "soon" has shown up in what I have looked at.

I DONT want my changed.....my aeromancer armor as 15al vs lightning....the change will nerf it to 10al.....dont want it, dont need it, so it had better be an npc instead of just and update!

You do know in exchange for that 5 armor less against Lightning, you get 10 armor MORE versus every element

So it equals out to be better in every situation lol.

Yeah, Well, I really do want that extra 10 armor vs physical. and the extra 5 armor vs everything.

So please, Fix this soon. The missions in factions are working just fine. Fix the armor first.

Well, if they can write the code to nerf every AXE that had the double +20% enchant a few days after it was discovered (i had 4 in my inventory that went "poof"), then I don't understand what is so hard about getting this fixed... Geez!

one axe compared to all the varients of armor for all professions is equal.

and i had 15 of those suckers at 15 minutes a pop from character creation to vault and reroll to do again

Is it really that big a deal that you "gotta have it right now or
I'm gonna explode"? People that bought 15k didn't buy it for it's
armor rating.
If you "have" to have the extra armor value, why not just put
yours in storage and get some cheap Droks for now until they
can get the 15k upgraded.
You really don't need the extra armor rating to stand around
"posing" in the grotto.

Its not about posing... its about getting what u paid for. Don't try and confuse the issue by bashing those who spent the money... If Anet makes a significant change like this, it should apply globally to all versions that exist. Nobody is asking for a temporary work-around, they are simply asking when it will be fixed.

In the meantime, I did buy some 1.5k... but I shouldn't have to - and that's the point.

I don't see any point of confusion here.

Unless they lowered the stats on the armor you bought... you "have"
got what you paid for. They offered to give you a free upgrade as soon
as they can work out how to do it. You say you want them to do things
your way and give it to you right now. It doesn't look like they will.

I was NOT aware they would stack (as with most things on armor, many dont) I was thinking it was more like an overlap since lightning is an element---so it would still be only 10al vs lightning while mine specifically says 15al vs lightning. and it doesnt say it like they would be both working at the same time---10al vs lightning, 10al vs elemental....I dont see an and or plus.....................

Well, if the +10 AL vs. Lightning wasn't counted after the elemental, why would they put it on the armor in the first place?
