Best Ranger Elite in PVP?

Hi everyone,

I am just getting back into PVP After playing through all of Factions and I decided to create a Ranger. I thought the PVP forum would be the best place to ask but I can post this in the Ranger forum as well.

Anyways as the title says, Im curious what is the best Ranger Elite to use in PVP. I figure Barrage is a PVE only skill so it doesn't really fit the bill. I was thinking of Crippling Shot or Archor's Signet as my PVP of choice but Im not really sure whats good for it. I have most everything unlocked except the elites, so all is good there... but where as I only have a little faction spending 3000 on an Elite is bad if I choose one that really isn't worthwhile.

Right now Im using very high Marksmenship and Expertise... almost nothing in BM since I don't have a pet where its a PVP Char... and to my knowledge I can't get a Pet for PVP (If someone knows different please let me know)...

Any insight would be most helpful!

P.S Im using 'Me' as my secondary but I only am using skills from Ranger atm... I don't know if my secondary matters really or if I should be using something else?

The Ranger elites most predominant in high level PvP are:
Oath Shot (on spirit spammers)
Punishing Shot (on Ranger spikers)
Ferocious Strike (on Hammer R/W's; known as 'Bunny Thumpers')
Crippling Shot (not as popular as it once was, but not uncommon in GvG)

I feel I'm forgetting something, though I'm not sure what.

So basically I probably should be getting Punishing shot or Crippling...

I don't figure Ill be doing Bunny Thumper since I invested far too much in a very nice bow. lol! Oath Shot maybe an option but I think Im going more for a spike/high powered damage build compared to a Spirit Spammer or R/W build...

So I will look into Punishing Shot and see how that goes....

If anyone has anything else to add that'd be great. Ill search the ranger forums for nice Spike builds there...

i have been seing alot of Poison arrow, mostly in Random arenas, but also a few in Team areans as well. thats for degen ranger/me

I like poison arrow... Mix it with barbed trap, pin down and distracting shot you've got one dead warrior. Plus it takes care of casters fairly well if you have a poisonious bow string...
