How much armor do shields give without the req?

How much armor do you get from a max armor shield that you do not meet the req for? I know a white/blue focus gives 3 energy and a purple/gold one gives 6, but what about shields?

Golds will give 8 armor if you don't meet the requirment, as long as the armor is above 8.

Green/Collector ones will give 3.

Has anyone done any studies to see if you still get the special bonus? Such as -2 damage while enchanted etc.

Yep, you still get all of the bonuses.

Unless the bonus itself has a requirement, then you'll get a lessr version of the bonus until the requirement is met.

Is there a shield in existance with a bonus dependant on req?

16 Al req 9 strength

-2 while enchanted (req 13 strength)
-3 while hexed (req 4 water magic)
