Lou, of the Knives W/Mo solo guide

Hi guys, I've used a few of these guides to solo some bosses, and thought I'd share one of my own.

The target: Lou, of the Knives
The object: Lou's Karambits

The location: from Tahnnakai Temple, head out to the Shenzun Tunnels
The build: Wammo
9 Healing
10 Strength
14 Tactics (use Tactics helmet)

Skills:
Purge Conditions
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Auspicious Parry
Dolyak Signet
Live Vicariously
Healing Signet
Sprint

Equipment: Malinon's Shield, life stealing sword (I use Grognar's Sword). This setup has bonuses while enchanted, and you'll have Live Vicariously up.

Head outside, put Live Vicariously on, and go straight ahead and through the pipe. Take a right, and you'll come up against the first pack. Sprint past those taking care not to brush up against the assassins (they'll cripple you). Ahead you'll see a bridge to the left, stand right in the middle of it. Another Am Fah pack will be ahead, but if you wait, they'll head off to the right and out of your aggro range. Heal up as needed. Cross the bridge and head slightly left, and you'll come up to 2 Am Fahs. Sprint past those and you'll be in a large open area with some friendly npc's. Right in the middle is a lower sewer area with stairs leading down: head down into it and to the other side near a second set of stairs leading back up. Don't go up, just stand besides it: this will spawn Lou and his pack.

His pack isn't bound to him, and he'll start to wander a bit. Head back to the stairs you entered the sewer from and this will aggro him. He will teleport to you and do a cute little bow before fighting. Start with the Auspicious Parry/Riposte/Deadly Riposte routine, keeping Dolyak Signet up to reduce damage. He may blind you, in which case that will stop your Riposte routine -- that's what purge conditions is for. Rinse and repeat, and good luck getting his green drop!

Note: this build works beautifully against Xuekao, the Deceptive outside Maatu Keep also.

Nice, I was using almost the exact build on him as well. Someone posted a ritualist solo build and I wanted to get him as warrior/monk instead. I noticed at first they sold really high, now its getting tough to sell them at even 20k-30k.

I would like to see as many solo builds as possible using just one or two classes. My rit sucks, I don't have a ranger or mes, and warrior/x seems so versatile (the war/mes build for the earth ele kurzick boss who spams stone daggers is downright FILTHY).

I found another solo-able boss, a luxon hammer boss, I'll work on a build today.

Wow amazing spot there, got his greens on my second run so im quite happy.
The hardest part is just getting to him, the first group can be a pain especially if you hit some of their traps....

Excellent post and build, however, 3 kills so far with no drops. Followed your directions to a tee and had no problems whatsoever.

I like your build, it works pretty well but honestly I have a much better one in my eyes.

Equipment: I am using Sskai's sword and Exalted Aegis + Gladiators but honestly all you need to worry about is energy.

I use the same method you do to getting to him. When i'm there i run under the bridge he jumps down on his rope then bows to me. While he is bowing i cast SS and reckless haste on him and not only does he miss 43% of the time but he swings 25% faster getting more damage from SS while i spam both ripostes and gaining energy off of bonettis when i need it, and often clicking dolyak signet when needed. My first attempt at him with his build: killed him under 40 seconds. I casted about 2 SS's before he fell.

Modifyed W/M build

Ok, your build works nicely but i made a few changes that seem to work as well, first take out Purge Conditions and Live Vicariously, add Shield Bash and Balth Spirit, u dont need to hit him at all and he is unable to use his attack skills due to Shield Bash, also take whatever you have out of holy and put it in smite

Necro are baed.
