I am a very lazy person, and as luck would have it I have a slow PC.
Now every time GW has an update I get excited . But I download the patch and extract the files, all the time waiting with an eager apreciation of what the latest bug fix and add-on might entail. So GW starts and I allways Alt+Tab and execute Firefox. Then while I have GW in the background and my browser loading up flash my apreciation turns into frustration about the not knowing. So I was thinking...
Can you see the difference? Well if you look right under the third party program warning, then you will see a collapsable option to view the latest update!
Now understand I am no programer but I don't think this would be an arduous task.
Granted A-net has revamped thier GW homepage, yet it would be greatly apreciated by the majority of the comunity if this would be interpolated into our GW.exe.

I used to use one page somewhere on guildwars.com for updates. An update came down, but that page wasn't updated. By asking around, I found out that ANET had stopped updating that page, and was instead updating a different one on their site.

I always check the updates the moment I see it download something. Every other online game has it. Why doesn't Guild Wars?

Easier than running GW in a window and checking the website.

To do this, ANET just needs to add the updates like they add the other stuff there. It seems like it will be very easy to implement this.
