Alright you might be wondering why am asking this, since I am the one holding it. Its wired, I have a longsword, but every once in a while, in a fight it will change skins on me, and I was wondering what, sword skin this was? Btw gw001 is the sword I would like to know, gw002 is how the sword is before it changes skins.

I'm not postitive, but I think ritualist weapon skills make your weapons look diffrent, because the first one has the ritualist weapon glow.

I've had that happen more than a few times, when using any of my swords. I think it might be some type of glitch that ANET might not even know about.

I'd start fighting with a FDS, then it would change into the 1st picture posted. After the fight, it would change back to my FDS...

Yes, it might be a glitch.


Or, it might be for the reason the two posts above you give. Weapon Of Warding changes the skin of your weapon for the duration of the fight.

Yes Rit skills change your weapon( Weapon of Warding, Nightmare Weapon, Splinter Weapon, Brutal Weapon, Vital Weapon, and Weapon of Shadow) will change your sword for the spell duration.
First time I was looking in my inventory trying to figure out where that ugly sword came from. LOL

Ritualists have skilsl that affect your weapons. each skill changes your weapons look. altough the skin is the same no matter what the skill is. in other words : rit skill makes sword into ghostly sword skin thingy, bow into ghstly bow skin, staff into ghostly staff skin etc
