The Final Battle - *Spoilers*
Kyosuke
Is it me or is the final battle with Shiro TOO EASY!
Each time I have gone in to fight him it has taken my group less than 2minutes to complete the mission. had one as short as 1min 20secs.
I dunno, but I think this final fight is a bit too easy and should have a little more challenging points to it. I know it's basically the last part of Raisu Palace which is easy anyways with the Kuunavang skills, but yeah..
I guess I was hoping for more.

Teah its easy, but if you're stupid enough to let the full time of Meditation of the Reaper, you can die in 1 blow (Steal 600 HP to everyone). Otherwise, he's easy.
Lorven
Shiro is easy , and I consider Raisu the final battle - It is quite hard imo.
Kyosuke
i dunno I think Raisu is made easy when you have 2 Warr and 1 or 2 MM inthe group. With Kuunavangs warrior skill, an entire mob dies pretty much instantly with a bunch of Minions surounding you

frickett
I Thought raisu was kind of tough. We only had one Warrior, and only one mm when we went through. But I look forward to going again, either again with my monk, or with my other characters. I thought that shiro was pretty easy. Although i never even got to him. We spoke to Kuunavang, and I was walking up the hallway/bridge when our warrior and assassins wiped him out, It took us about 45 seconds total. I dont know if they did some kind of wierd trick that i wasnt aware of but I was like "whiskey tango foxtrot is it over" I was using my monk as a healer, and never even lifted a finger. Im gonna try this one again too. I want to see if those results are reproducable.(sp)
dargon
With an Alliance group last night, we did a streak of masters from Gyala right to the end. Didn't have a warrior for any of it until the Shiro, and that was only because one of the 2 assassins had to get some sleep.
Mister Muhkuh
raisu is quite hard, harder than any other mission in factions(because of the time limit)...
but it is easy with 1 ss and 1 or more mm necros...

my fastest record.. 1 second... how you ask? ... i had the luxon base defender with me ^_^.... instant kill FTW!

I thought Raisu was easy, we completed it with plenty of time left, maybe because we have 2 MM and 2 W. I tried Shiro with one group that has only one warrior and one hench protection and we died 3 times. So I joined another group that has 3 W and 1 A. The first time we die, the second time I was teleported and was fighting to get back in when half of my party die but Shiro got killed by the 3 warriors. I need to get in again to complete my 15K armor. I am a monk and does not feel my healing is enough when it is really critical. Shall I become a protection/smiting and use zealot's fire and B Aura to help the warriors? Any help to make it easier?
plasmasword
If it was too hard, the forums would be full of threads with "Shiro is too hard" or "Nerf Shiro" or some crap like that.
remmeh
Raisu is challenging because of the huge damage that some of those guys put out. However a Shelter-spamming rit, MM, and 2 AoE (nuker or echo ss) makes it easy.
And i don't see the big deal about shiro. he died so fast :O except that time we all balled up around him and he used impossible odds.

Yeah I agree Raisu was more of the final level, Sanctum was just kind of there. He was very easy just wait for him to go into medatation of the reaper and hit hiim with like 3-4 or all 8 kuurvang
EagleEye33
Yea he was easy, if you want a stupid challenge try doing it with henchmen and see how long it takes you. :P
Francis Demeules
Raisu was making hard to give a weak boss at the end. You know what happens after the storm, then its the same thing here. Hard at the begining and soft to the end

Henchmen can interrupt Impossible Odds
Tbh, henchwise, I've failed more attempts on Shiro than Raisu... if hench don't manage enough damage ouput Shiro gets off a second Meditation, at which point you're generally screwed (hench kinda slow down :/). Raisu is just a matter of pull, kill. Pull, kill.
Make Shiro immune to Kd.
Increase Meditation absorb by a few hundred.
Make blind only give 50% miss on him or something.

It's funny how you can get easily away from Shiro's aggro circle so that he goes back to the spot where he stands in start.

Forget the monks. go all dmg output... That's what my group did when I first beat him. All monks, all rits, all everyone went dmg dealing. Shiro was a push-over than. It seems like some groups have trouble with him though
I went back once to craft a +5 energy sword and the group I was in had no idea how to beat him (we brought a MM
) But after the 3rd try even that group was able to own him and still get masters.
They should really lower the time needed to get masters on that one.

for me Raisu was easy - After getting fed up of other players I went with Broad Head Arrow, Cons Shot and henchmen. All the dangerous foes in Raisu are spellcasters and they're all neutralised by Daze. Kills monks in 3 seconds.
The Shiro fight is just stupid. So much effort went into making the game balanced everywhere else, and Shiro is immune to so many of the game mechanics. He can't be knocked down and nothing else works on him because he uses abstract skills that don't count as stances, spells, enchantments or whatever. So it's just about damage. It reminds me of WoW bosses, and they suck.

I usually just tell groups to take a warrior or two and then just everyone in the group - even monks - to bodyblock Shiro when the warriors use their special. If everyone does this, it's GG Shiro faster than you can say "Please skip the end-cinematic, I'm just here to craft armor."

<-- henched Raisu and the final mission

Mercenary One
Ok let clear a few things up. You Need to go full damage, so MM's switch to blood or curses ( there's not enuff bodies to make this worth while), Monks switch to smiting ( you need the damage not the healing, he spikes so there's no use to heal), assassin's are (SUPRISE!) great for this mission, with their star skill, if you can't kill him in under 30 secs-1 min your doing something wrong. My fasest time is 15 secs.
Everyone needs to surround him, thats right get face to face with him, everyone,( ignore the stupid bounds) then just start going off on him, everyone should use their star skill around the same time, as it will recharge when everyone has used thiers.
Meditation of the reaper, this can be stopped quickly by accumilating around 500 dmg to him while hes in this skill, looks like he isn't taking damage, but he is it's just not affecting his hp, and you can live thru impossible odds.
If you get banished, you need to run counter clockwise up the hill to the portal, if you can't make it you die and are transported back to the surface anyway, but your still dead, lol.
The whole point is get in their use your star skills, and keep the damage on him( if you run you will die, stay on him nubs!) he'll be dead before you can say "I'm Leet sause".
P.S. you get the exact same star skill no matter what build you use.

Recharges when you kill a bound, no?

The final battle is not a battle.
You killed his armies, you destroyed his plans..
Now it is you versus him. It's a duel, not a battle.

If level made a difference then spider and uw farming would be rather different.
I just consider him like a RA wammo with dolyak sig up perma, so he doesnt die forever

Ironic
Throughout the game most groups cry out for a monk but in this last mission you can easily go without (anyone whose done it before doesn't spam LF monk) so the super desirable monk is sometimes left out in the cold.
Assassins (and to a lesser extent Warriors - wammo) who can find it difficult in the rest of the game to get into some groups suddenly get to feel wanted
Just a thought

Pick Me
I have to say all of the missions are easy if the group is intelligent.
All of the missions are almost impossible if the group is ignorant.
Case in point. First time I tried, I was with a good group, killed Shiro in like 1:15 seconds or less. The second time I did it (same character, different group), we got pwned. We lost 5 times before beating him in under 10 minutes.
So you can claim easy for some quests, and hard on others, but its based on luck and how good your group is.
Shiro is easy, as long as you are not the one teleported to the underworld.

raisu is easy if you take cynn and danika with you as advised by GuildWiki.org lol since they let you bypass the monsters at certain points
i think the reason why shiro is easy to kill is so that it allows players who wish to buy the 15k canthan armours to have an easier access to the divine path, dont you think ?

Why Shiro is easy:
OMGRUSHNOOBFTW! - In a lot of missions a party can lose if they agro too many monsters or go too far off so the monks cannot heal for whatever reason. This mission is rush-proof. Nothing is too much to agro here and running off is silly. Its a noob-proof mission, hence why everyone can do it.
Going round a second time - Some people want to get end-game armor or use another amulet of the mists that they bought. The mission was designed so that they could easily go back and do this; the main part of the game has been completed. Imagine if you wanted to get a piece of armor and had to go through Hells Precipite AGAIN. That 'would' be hell.
Note also that shiro isnt completely easy. In a bad built group with lots of healing and crap damage, it can go wrong. When factions first came out it was difficult. Now its a push over.
For a single support build to help friends/guildies for this mission I always pick SS with the following.
Spiteful Spirit
Insidious Parasite
Barbs
Riggor Mortis(dunno if its useful but I like it vs bosses)
Degen

I thought they were both about right. I did them both with henchies. Took 3 tries to get Masters at Raisu and 7 tries ( I finnally went and read guildwiki and got it on the first try with their hench setup) for the final battle. Now I am working on the really hard part of getting GrandMasterCartographer of Cantha..... But that is another story, for another thread.
