Question about traveling to Tyria from Cantha.

I have heard from a few people that if you travel to Tyria right away as soon as you can, you cannot go back to Cantha. If they are right, how do you go about going back, and is it even worth it to go to Tyria. (I am currently on the mission after "Dragon's Mouth")

Zoom out your map, click on the boat, and see what happens.

I have finished the Mhenlo quest that let's me go to Tyria. But, I haven't collected my reward becase the boat captain will take me to Tyria.

Like I said in my earlier post, I'm not sure if I will be able to get back to Cantha as easy as I get to Tyria. Because, a couple of guild-mates told me that it doesn't let you go back. I'm not sure if they are right, but I would like to be sure I can go back and forth whenever I please.

In short, they're lying and/or wrong. Once you go to Tyria from Cantha or vice-versa there is nothing stopping you from going back and forth as you please.

You can jump back and forth at will.

I need to learn to type with more than 2 fingers.

How do I do it? I am in Cantha, having just come from Tyria, and I cannot get back. When I go to the boat, the captain is not there. When I zoom out on the map, all I see is Cantha.

Use the big map key (I think it defaults to "M"). See the ship? Click on it and select your destination and "travel". Once you made it over, you don't have to talk to any npc to get back.
