A stuck henchie is horrible-it usually seems to happen far from town and close to the goal. Let it run around for a bit and it might fix itself. After a few minutes you'll know if you have to map out and start over.
I've had the respawn kick in while a hench(usually the ranger) was still alive at the time. I think the game knows if there's any res spells/signets left in the hench party and usually does the right thing.
I'm glad that /resign doesn't work in PvE- earlier tonight I hit a big boss pack and the lagmonster at the same time. By the time I was up to speed I was dead along with 3 other henchies. I about logged out then but I noticed the henchies were killing pretty well and the rit was still alive to heal. They killed the whole pack and were flailing away at the boss with no apparent effect- the boss's health would go down some and he'd use healing sig to be almost back to full health. After about 5 minutes he was at 2/3 health and I was getting bored so I tried /resign. It didn't work and I was really starting to dislike that guy so I stuck it out another 10 minutes and he finally went down- dropping a green axe! Thanks, Wing Three Blade. My first green drop ever and it was a good one.
Now if my /age would just roll over from 11 months to 12...it's been stuck on 11 for about a month now.
