So I have completed factions once with a warrior/necro and is the middle of trying to complete factions with my monk.
There were many things that frustrated me with factions: the locked gates, the escort / protect Master Tofu quests and missions. However, I had vented my feelings in other threads...
However, I want to do right by Anet, so I want to tell Anet:
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
What for? For giving us more roleplaying elements in the game...
- Thank you for giving us some personality for the henchmen. It's great to watch Talon Silverwing yelling "Death From Above" as he charges. It's kewl to have Kisai (sp?) being insecure about here talents as a elementalist. It's great to have Lukas yelling in the town that you should "join him" and work beside the greatest hero.
- Thank you for having little street scenes. I walked through the area near Kaineng Center, and I saw an illusion show -- that was great! It really enhance the feeling. I love the entire little girl going to see the mime and wanting to be a mime, or her mother coming by to get her and telling her that she can comeback tomorrow. It's a small touch, but it brings the world to life.
- Finally, thank you for the great humourous touches. My favorite:
<spoiler here! do not read if you haven't finish the game!>
At the end of Divine Path:
The Emperor dancing! He does the warrior dance!
I have a screenshoot of my warrior doing a synchronized dance with the Emperor.
I suggest a new title: "Dancing with the Emperor" -- can only be gotten if you managed to completely sync your dance with the emperor at the end-game.
All in all -- thank you for listening to us roleplayers and adding these touches to the game.
Thank you ANet for the new RP enhancements!!

Yes... thank you AN, for adding all of the rp enhancements..I think fondly of them every time my character dies in a 1 minute lag spike, or, rubberbands back and forth across the map.

well, if you do see some of my other posts, you'll see that there are things that i am not very pleased about...
however, i am happy to say that over the numerous suggestions i've posted on (or agree with others) that anet has made quite a few of them into reality. these include:
- suggestion for pve titles
- suggestion for hiding / make visible cloak
- suggestion for adding henchman based snippets
- suggestion for making the game more rp-esque in general
Greedy Gus: if you think i am easily pleased and so be it.
Shadowfell: neither the lag or rubberbanding NPCs have anything to do with the RPG flourishes... it's like telling someone that the pastry is bad on a post that praises the coffee...

I totally agree,
the PvE aspect of the game is awesome
I am 50/50 PvP - PvE and I love what they've done with factions

Its quite unfortunate most people bypass or ignore those things and then they turn around and call the game garbage because they rushed through it .-.
I love the little side show things and NPC chatter. I bet you most people in this game couldnt name the god of death before Grenth without Guildwiki. Read what the NPCs say. Read the signs.

I like trying to get Cynn, Jamei, and Emi together, especially if you are going to meet Mhenlo during the trip, can change the conversations if you watch. My attempts at this were started because of when you first meet Jamei and Emi, Cynn doesn't seem too happy about Mhenlo having known them, cause they are girls. And later in the game, when you go to meet Togo and Mhenlo to head for Boreas, Mhenlo will ask if Cynn is around, if not he will mention a girl he used to know grew into a lovely woman, but if Cynn is there that line appeared to be left out.

I LOVE the Mime. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to do all the emotes he did. Hes fast though...or won't finish a emote before he starts another...
Though...I was hoping I'd get some hidden quest from him if I managed to mimic all his emotes exactly...like a game of simon says.
