Ok, a little while ago i noticed that when i took a screenshot, it didn't say where it was saving to, when i looked in the place where it use to go C/ program files under guild wars, none of my recent ones showed up. i kept taking screenshots and just hoped i would stumble upon them eventually. two screenshots out of my many recent ones have appeared in C program files guild wars, but none of the others. Today while i was doing my homework i took a break and played guild wars, and took a screenshot. when i got back to my homework i used ctrl+v for paste, and the screenshot i had taken only moments before came up instead of what i had copied earlier that evening. as far as i can see, none of the screenshots are saving anywhere other than those two i found. If you have any advice on fixing the problem or anything else, it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I can't suggest a fix for your problem as I don't know what could be causing screenshots to not show up. Well apart from some sort of conflict within windows in between the time the shot is taken and the clipboard emptied into Guild Wars/Screenshots.

Have you tried using a third party screenshot grabber? Download this and give it a try, it's only small and has an extremelly small memory footprint. Just click it and leave it running in the system tray. You can set up a dedicated folder where it'll save to, and also what format to save in too. Just press PRINT SCREEN as per usual and see if this takes your shots.

I use it to grab my shots in FS2004 for entering in compititions, so I'll attest to it's usability.

Are you holding ALT, Control or Shift while doing a screen?

Are you sure your taking the screenshots correctly?

Just hitting PrintScreen will take the screenshot and store it in C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Screenshots...

Guild Wars will only save a maximum of 999 screenshots (I know cause I have filled it, and it told me it cant take any more) -- Once it hits this 999, it will store any future ones in the windows ClipBoard so CTRL+V in a GFX application, should bring the screenshot you just saved..

Just to be sure, re-name, or move the /Screenshots/ Folder from the Guild Wars Folder, and then try and take a few, it should remake the /Screenshots/ folder, and start again at 001

I have WIndows XP home edition, and this same thing happens to me only when i log in under the "guest" account. I press the button and take the screenshot, but they dont save anywhere, even though it says it does in my chat log.

it might be because all of my .jpg/.jpeg files have the weird application icon. That started happening around the same time the screenshot problem came about. Im still not sure how it happened wor what made it that way

But as log as im on the admin account (mine) its fine
