Dye question (I checked the FAQ)

If I apply a dye remover to armor that doesn't have any dye will that make it lighter? If it will can I then apply a dye to the armor and get a truer color? I'm trying to make my ranger's mask red but it comes out kind of maroon/purple since the mask is brown to begin with. Thanks.

I don't know about the ranger mask, but I do know that if you apply a dye remover to the pyromancer 15k armor it goes back to a base color of purple. But as for making it a 'truer' form of red I don't think that would happen. I'd suggest making a mix of red + another color in order to test out what dye combo you like best.
There is a dye chart on this forum, however what's in the bottle isn't always what you get when you apply it to your armor. So just try testing things out to see what dye combo you like.

ranger armors come pre-dyed, so by using dye remover on it it will become some kind of a beige-brown-yellow tone.
to make the red dye brighter, you might have to mix 2 red dyes+silver, or maby just 2 red dyes
