I Final Fear I[FeaR]

Ok I have had my eyes on a Wing's Axe for my warrior for awhile now, so I have been trying to devise a way to solo him with my 55 monk. So far, I have tried conventional bonetties build. That ended badly because of interrupt spam from mesmers. Then, I tried MoResolve mo/me which went a little better, however Wing was left with 2 Ritualists healing him which i could not kill. So i subbed out divine aura for power spike, to interrupt their item spell so they could keep shooting me with their wands. This came closer yet, but they healed themselves quite well. since then the only ideas i have had are duoing it with a necro or a mesmer or something like that.

I would really prefer to solo him, and any ideas would be appreciated

EDIT: the spawn of his group varies quite alot every time, a couple times only 1 rit has spawned but he wasn't carrying his axe.

The only time I solo'd him was when Factions first came out, and about 40% of the time he spawns w/o the rits. I try to lure out the Mesmer's interrupts with healing breeze spam. And back then I used Ignorance and SoJ killed Wing (very slowly). For now I am having problem with those ritualists as well, and I think I'm going to go with duoing for those runs with rits.

I've soloed him about 30 times and gotten two axes to drop. It's really not worth your time and effort. You should just buy the axe from somebody else or work with a 2-4 man group to speed up the runs. From the ~ 60 times I've killed him (~30-40 solo, and 20-30 more with a 2-4 man group) he's dropped the axe 4 times...so about 1/15 times.

If you can get a SS N/E to bring Rust you should have no problems killing him pretty fast. Just dis chop his healing sig while he's hexed with rust. GG

Maybe one day I'll start sharing my solo builds here on Guru but not just yet. One of the main things I enjoy about the game is figuring out builds for various things-especially solo farming-so perhaps I'm reluctant to share my builds because I want people to think for themselves. It's really not about greed like most people would think as I've never gotten super wealthy from my farming habits (I made more money in one elite mission drop than I did in 5mil XP solo farming).

There really is a good bit of personal satisfaction when you figure things out on your own. To each his own, I guess.
